My name is Steve Solomon and I have restored metal antiques for over 25 years.

I restore brass, bronze, steel, pewter, pot metal, and aluminum.

I can replace missing parts, repair damaged or cracked parts of your candlestick, lamp, spoon, bronze statue, pot metal statue, or whatever you have.

I learned many of my skills repairing Woodwind and Brass Band Instruments.

I studied Band Instrument Repair at Western Iowa Tech and repaired and restored band instruments for seven years. In 1982 I began restoring antique instruments and then got completely involved with restoring metal antiques.

I have done work for Antique Dealers, Interior Decorators, and Private Collectors. I can restore missing parts as well as repair splits, cracks, and dents in metal. I use soldering, brazing, and lost wax casting techniques depending on what the job requires. My specialties are patinas and pot metal repairs.

Since each repair is unique you can contact me for details. Sending a picture via email can be very helpful for an accurate estimate. Even though we may communicate over phone or email I will not begin a repair until I have contacted you for an approval with an estimate.
